and honestly I have no real answer. I've been wondering about that, too, and decided it would be fun to record my day.
Yesterday was a bit hectic but I had a little bit of everything to do and I knew it was going to be busy so I thought it would be a good day to document.
5:00 alarm goes off - hit snooze twice
5:08 finally get up and head downstairs
5:10 turn on computer and work on getting the new songbird ave kit in the store
5:20 start chatting with meredith about the changeover and what needs to be done
5:35 colin cleans kitchen while he makes himself breakfast
5:56 colin brings me coffee and spends a few minutes with me discussing our days
6:05 colin leaves for work and i finish my coffee
6:10 i wake up lara and mia
6:15 after much coaxing, we make our way to the closet (we all share one big walk-in...makes it easier for me to have everything in one place) and i help the girls pick outfits
6:20 take a flat iron to lara's crazy bedhead.
6:25 make breakfast for lara and mia
6:30 sneak in a couple more minutes of work on the songbird site
6:40 meredith goes to bed just after we wrap up the site changeover
6:45 lara and mia leave for the bus
6:50 wake up norah
7:15 finally convince norah to get out of bed
7:20 make breakfast for norah after she's dressed
7:40 leave to take norah to school (half mile walk)
8:10 return from norah's school and make myself another cup of coffee
8:20 check and answer emails
8:40 start working on blog posts for songbird ave. finish 3
9:25 start working on songbird ave may kit
10:00 finish my pieces for the kit
10:30 realize i haven't eaten and finally get some breakfast
11:35 almost finish songbird ave may kit preview
11:45 leave to pick up norah
12:20 return home and cook lunch for norah and myself
12:45 norah lays down and has quiet time
1:00 work on new designs for 3 kits
1:45 norah gets up and starts dancing wildly
1:45 i start working on this blog post
3:30 lara and mia get home
3:40 make snacks for kids and take a break
4:00 colin gets home and we chat about our days
4:15 clean off my desktop because computer is going too slow
4:45 put on a decent top, and try to look presentable
5:00 video chat with jessica sprague team. eeek! so nervous!
6:00 work on paper stuff for a friend's wedding, colin starts dinner
6:30 eat dinner that colin has prepared
8:00 watch newest LOST episode with colin (on itunes)
8:45 chat with colin about our plans for friday
9:00 clean kitchen
9:15 hang out with colin
10:00 take shower
10:30 finally go to bed, exhausted
