Ok, so things have been insane around here. You can probably guess that, though, from the lack of posting for however many weeks it's been. I still need to update on Halloween, Mia's birthday, and our time here in Frankfurt.
I can't just right now, though. I'm focusing 100% of my time to Songbird Avenue and I have so much work to get done before Thanksgiving. Then we are having Thanksgiving at a friend's house and then we get the keys to our house the next day and need to start moving out of the apartment. Then we get to move in on Saturday and start painting. THEN our stuff arrives on Monday morning. THEN we have 3 days to get settled before our house guests arrive. :)
As soon as we get our stuff delivered (including all the lovely cords that go with our cameras) I will update this thing properly. Until then, though, the blog is going to have to be a little patient.
I have been doing some Christmas browsing during my lunches with Norah. It's all about the multi-tasking right now. :) Thought I'd share some of what I found.
For most book lovers, there is a little wanna-be librarian living in our hearts. I know I sure have one. She has horn rimmed cat-eye glasses and a cardigan twinset in every color. ;) The personal library kit is perfect for someone like me. Heck, I would buy it just for the stamp alone!
You didn't really think this post was going to be about what I'm getting other people right? hahaha
Anthropologie just revealed their new holiday decor and I have to say I am in love with the ornaments...
And the tree skirts. Makes me want to redo mine...
This calendar is gorgeous. If it wasn't so expensive, it'd be a perfect teacher gift. I think we may be going more "low key" this year. Probably some of our homemade sugar cookies we always do. :)
Well, folks, that's about as much of a break as I can allow myself right now. Need to egt back to work. Songbird's new marketing director will be crackin' the whip if I don't! ;)

The kiddos have today off from school for some kind of teacher workday. It was nice for them to sleep in til 7:30 instead of waking them up at 5:30. They are very happy bunnies right now.
In anticipation of them having today off (and honestly to kind of bribe them to be good for me...) I told them we would go to the Frankfurt Children's Museum and if they were very, very good I would take them out to lunch. They can't decide between sushi and Italian.
So we're all getting dressed and then we'll walk downtown and spend the day hanging out. For the past 3 weeks Lara and Mia have done nothing but school, homework and errands. It's been sad, but we've had no extra time in our lives for fun family days out. So we're taking advantage of their day off today.
Later this evening we're taking the train down to where Colin works to meet him. Then we're going shopping for light fixtures for the new house and also the new slipcover we want. I'm hoping there will be a trip to a hardware store so I can grab some paint samples but who knows if we'll have enough time.
I hope everyone is having a great day! We've only had one minor catfight/scuffle so I think we're off to a pretty good start! Off to have some much needed fun! Ciao! :)

And as much as I love to flip pages, having a magazine that has links and further peeks for you at the click of a button is ideal for me. And when that magazine is a darn decent replacement option for the very-much-missed Domino and Blueprint, well...I'm a happy bunny.

It's that time again! After a few months of relaxing, reworking, and reorganizing, we are back on track at Songbird Avenue! It's been a good break for us but we are ready to get back to raising some serious cash for charity!
Our November kit is a collaboration with the amazing designers of Scrapbook Graphics! It is packed full of incredible designs and it's sure to make its way into tons of your projects. Toys in the Attic is a playful take on the holidays and we know you are going to love it!
We also have a brand new team of creative ladies working for us and we're working on their debut right now. In the meantime, here are a few of my favorite layouts from our new CT.

And here's one from me! I just love these photos of Lara from when we first moved to Germany. Bavaria is gorgeous in winter (as well as the rest of the year!) and the little village Christmas markets were adorable!
