Happy new year!
I hope 2008 has been good to you! :)
Our night was pretty laid back. We watched lots of Star Trek and had a bit of wine. Nothing too fancy, but that's the way we like it. No big soirees or anything like that. (Not that I wouldn't mind, but really, who can actually get a babysitter on new year's eve?) :) Oh, and then there's the whole "getting invited to a fancy shindig" thing that we just never really attract.
Not to worry, though. Star Trek is just fine with me.
I've been thinking a lot about goals and what I want to accomplish this year and I have to say that it's a bit overwhelming. So many good (and unexpected!) things have happened this year.
The main 2 being:
* I've been able to embark on a fun little stationery adventure with my friend Maria.
* I was asked to join the team of digital designers at twopeasinabucket.com.
There is one more thing that I couldn't announce until today. Starting today, I am a Garden Girl at Two Peas In a Bucket! I have to say that I was completely overwhelmed (not to mention shocked!) that they would even want me, but after a couple of days of seriously head-scratching, I decided it was too good to pass up. (And the only reason I thought about it so long was because I am already overflowing with work to do!) :) But, I said yes and I am really excited about this new venture. I am still overwhelmed and a bit starstruck to be listed among those other artists, but I can't wait to see where this new opportunity leads!
Here's my first layout I made for the January Designer Garden:

Today we've been cleaning and getting organized. We pretty much spring cleaned the upstairs so I am a happy duck right now. Nothing better than being able to see your floor because you moved Mt. Laundry! :)
Happy New Year!
